Dr. Bel Deering - Community Engagement Officer. Somerset Rivers Authority

In her role as Community Engagement Officer, Bel is out and about across our beautiful county helping communities to build their resilience to flooding events. This support can range from advice and signposting for Parish Councils to running practical workshops for Local Community Networks or delivering sessions with schools on flood safety. Having previously worked in the charity sector for environmental and animal causes, she is keen to help Somerset’s human and non human communities flourish - whatever the weather.
