Wookey Wildflower Meadow

Being born in 'The Bush' in Zimbabwe & having a dad who was a keen bird watcher gave me a love and appreciation of nature from an early age.

Since then I have spent many years in the UK and have studied biology and herbalism along with training as an advanced leader in Forest school and foraging. I have been an organic gardener for 30 years, adopting the principles of permaculture as well as advising and developing wildflower meadows and have recently been collecting and propagating wildflower seeds and plugs from our own meadow.

Our lovely plot in Wookey, Somerset, reminds me every day that nature is truly astonishing and that I still have much to learn. My aim is to inspire people to love their own spaces however big or small, see the huge potential for restoring balance and bringing back wildlife. This coupled with growing or foraging their own healthy food in these challenging times, as well as seeing themselves as part of a widening network of like- minded people.

You can find me at the ‘Greener Tomorrow’ event in the Town Hall on 12th October.
