Avalon Community Energy

We are a community-owned social enterprise based in mid-Somerset. Avalon Community Energy (ACE) works with local organisations to increase our use of renewable energy through operating solar installations. These provide cleaner energy and funding for community carbon-reduction projects.

A portion of the profits generated from ACE renewable energy projects goes to a Community Benefit Fund which aims to support good causes in the local area. The fund is currently being used to finance energy efficiency measures in rented accomodation. The fund is coordinated by a volunteer committee.
