Westbury Tree Group

Our aim is to encourage the planting of trees in response to the climate emergency, the loss of diversity in our natural environment and the imminent challenge of ash die back.

Our most important achievement has been the establishment of a tree nursery, growing locally sourced seed of native species with no tree miles. By the end of this summer there will be close to 6,000 trees in it.
Our motto is 'the right tree in the right place', which is sensitive to our location on the Mendip scarp with its important calcareous grasslands
